2nd Annual, All Mitsubishi Cookout and Car Show |
Who: owners of 3000GT, Stealth, Eclipse, Talon, Laser, Galant VR4, Starion, Conquest, Mirage, Colt, Cordia, and Avenger.
What: A cookout and car show for all Mitsubishi made sport cars.
Where: At Staring Lake Park in Eden Praire. Check out http://www.ci.eden-prairie.mn.us/parkbig.htm for a map of Eden Praire. The gathering will be where the Staring Lake Park Shelter is located on the map. In other words, the south side of the lake. The park is west on County Road 1, off of Highway 212. It is across the road from Flying Cloud Airport.
When: Saturday, August 26th, 2000 from 11am to 4pm. If the weather is looking bad for Saturday, I'll move it to Sunday at the same time.
Why: Because I love Mitsubishi sports cars and it gives all the DSM, 3/S and other Mitsu owners a chance to get together
The activities include grilling brats and hamburgers, talking cars and giving away door prizes. We will also be voting on best of show DSM, best of show 3/S, best modified DSM, best modified 3/S, best other, and best other modified. There will be a lot of prizes this year.
Some of the prizes include:
- NGK spark plugs
- Gift certificate for a custom 2.0L valve cover (courtesy of Bobby Boggs)
- Car cleaning supplies
Each owner will need to pay $5
for the food and prizes. If you bring two cars or a significant other, you don't
need to pay more than $5. If you would like to attend, subscribe to the

bringing and where your from.

I'd also like to get some vendors involved. If places like Sound Waves, Speedwerks, or Archer would like to set up a booth, that would be cool with me. All I'd ask is they donate some kind of prize. I will update this page as new developments occur. Below is the list of who is coming.

8/13/00 - I've come up with some more ideas for prizes. We'll be doing a Mitsubishi trivia competition. So make sure you memorize all those useless Mitsubishi tidbits.
8/22/00 - We are going to do some Go-karts too. On Sunday, August 27th at 10am we will be meeting at Gasoline Alley in Blaine. Gasoline Alley has a huge track. We can probably all get on at the same time. There is plenty of room for spectators too. There is also a very challenging mini-golf course. If the cookout gets pushed to Sunday, the Go-karts will be Saturday at 5pm. Gasoline Alley is located off of Highway 65 and 105th ave in Blaine. Just take 694 to Highway 65 north. Its right off Highway 65.
